Remembrance Day & Field Trips

Dear 3A Families,

Thank you to our 3 volunteers for running stations during PET building on Monday. The children had a fun time creating their ultimate playground! If you have not paid 15$ for the PET workshop, please visit your MyCBE Account. Thank you! Our Crime Not to Read library visit is coming up fast! Please send in your child’s permission forms!

We have been discussing Remembrance Day and taking part in activities this week. Students also sat through a very respectful Remembrance Day assembly today and received poppies.

In Math we have been working on Addition and Subtraction strategies. Next week we will be learning a game called Switcheroo to help us with regrouping!

In Science we are starting to bring in supplies for building bridges! These bridges will hopefully be ready for you to see at Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 21st and 22nd!

In December we will not be having a Christmas concert. In its place, we will be holding an evening of Gathering and Giving at school November 28th. We will have a short Pow Wow ceremony and you will get to see the beautiful mural our students have been working on! In addition, we will be giving generously of our time to make and decorate cards and boxes for various charities/organizations in our community. We will also be collecting items for the Calgary Food Bank! More information will be forthcoming!
