November 15th Update

Dear Grade 3A Families,

Thank you to all the students who dressed up in their pajamas today! What a fun way to end the week!!

This week in 3A we started reading a new book aloud called “The Borrowers”. I borrowed it digitally from the Calgary Public Library and students have really enjoyed learning about digital lending!

In Math this week we have been working on Addition and Subtraction mental math strategies! We are excited to share some of these with you during Student-Led conferences next Thursday and Friday. Booking opens today at 4pm.

In Science this week, we continued to build our bridges! Check out some pictures below! You will be able to see these amazing bridges at Parent Teacher Conferences.

Don’t forget our Country Hills Library visit on Tuesday! Students who haven’t brought in their permission forms will not be allowed to attend the trip. Please make sure those come in on Monday!

On November 28th, our school will be hosting a night of gathering and giving for our communities.  This evening event will consist of an official unveiling of a mural painted in our school by Ryan Jason Allen Willert. As well as performances by Jess McMann doing a Pow Wow Mash-up.  A component of the evening will consist of parents and students working at various stations throughout the school.  The stations will consist of helping the food bank pack birthday packages, designing hamper boxes, creating kindness rocks, designing placemats for Veterans and making cards for those in need who use Meals on Wheels. 

If you would like to donate to this night, below is a list of donations we are looking for.  Please only send NEW, UNUSED items:

If you are able to donate any of the materials listed here, please send them with your child to school any time before November 28^th.
